Red Stick goes ‘green’

Sunday, celebrate Mother Earth and the great weather at the annual Louisiana Earth Day Festival. Check out how local artists and students turned trash into treasure at the Art Carts Parade, walk the “soleful” labyrinth made of recycled shoes, and learn how you can green your world without leaving your backyard. Bring the tots to enjoy a puppet show, or help them make something fun out of recyclables at one of the Earth for Children activity stations. Three stages will be filled with awesome music all day long, and you can nosh on some tasty food as you wander. Free to the public. Noon to 8:45 p.m. Visit laearthday.org for more information.
