Recycling day, ExxonMobil’s history in the same weekend

In honor of America Recycles Day, the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council will host its second annual Garage Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CACRC warehouse downtown at 800 St. Philip St. Drop off used computer hardware, electronics and various office supplies. Learn how to participate in local recycling efforts here. On Sunday, join local historian John Sykes as he explains ExxonMobil’s history in Baton Rouge, since 1909 when it was Standard Oil. 3 p.m. Free to FHL members, $10 for guests. Old Governor’s Mansion.
