Rage against the ‘Machine Gun’

First Snakes on a Plane, then Hobo with a Shotgun, and now we have another bluntly titled B-movie action flick. This time, look out for Machine Gun Preacher. This Friday, Gerard Butler stars as a reformed drug dealer and ruthless biker who found religion and a cause. Packing heat and plenty of attitude, Butler’s character is based loosely on the real life of Sam Childers and follows the born again brute as he becomes a crusader for hundreds of Sudanese children being forced to serve as soldiers in a horrific civil war. Michelle Monaghan and Michael Shannon co-star. Rated R.
