Rad Travels Continued (NYC)
Never forget September 11. Be proud to be an American, especially on this day.
Jay-Z and I collabed on this poem to describe my experience in NYC:
Yeah, I’m out in Brooklyn, now I’m down in TriBeCa
Poundin’ pave in SoHo, but I’ll be BR forever
I can make it anywhere, yea they love me everywhere
Shoutout to Lady Liberty, LONG LIVE THE WORLD TRADE
Runnin’ the streets in Queens, home girl got it made!
New York, concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there’s nothin’ we can’t do. These streets make me feel brand new; these lights will inspire you.
Let’s hear it for New York! New York! New York!
One hand in the air for the big city
Street lights, big dreams, all lookin’ pretty
No place in the world that could compare
Put your lighters in the air and sing “YEAA-EA-EA”
Like you’re Alicia Keys.

Calvary Cemetery in Queens, overlooking The Great Concrete Jungle. | Sweet wall in SoHo. | The first landmark I came across in Queens. Ahhhh, castle sweet castle.

One of the puppets I made for the film Sand Flower. | Kate Montgomery slangin’ that slate like a pro. Oliver Copeland, 12-year-old star of Sand Flower. | On set of Sand Flower with Joey DiConcetto, sound operator, editor, and one of the directors of Ticking Clock Productions.

The hand puppet snake head I made for close ups of the “snake attack” scene. I painted my arm to match.
