Quoth The Raven

A character so odd that, not only did he die delirious and wearing another man’s clothes, but a latter-day Michael Jackson was once seriously considered to portray him on screen, infamous author Edgar Allan Poe appears in a major American film for the first time in more than a decade on April 27 with director James McTeigue’s mystery thriller The Raven.

John Cusack stars as Poe in this dark, fictionalized tale that fancies Poe as something of a reluctant sleuth drawn in to assist the police with the unsolved case of a brutal murderer who bases his serial killings on details found in Poe’s short stories. Alice Eve and Luke Evans co-star. Rated PG-13.
