‘Prom’ date

For some high schoolers, the culmination of the year is not that last day of finals, but prom night, and the teen dramedy Prom, new this week on DVD, follows a group of such students. Taking a near omnibus approach, Prom stars roughly a dozen starlets and rising teen actors who portray a mixed bag of crushes, heartaches and teen antics as the night of the big dance approaches and everyone maneuvers to land their dream date or merely survive emotionally intact. Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden will be the most recognizable face for most with Danielle Campbell and Thomas McDonnell co-starring. Rated PG.
