Place your bets on B.R. chefs
Competition at the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience already is heating up, and Baton Rouge foodies have some betting to do. Galatoire’s Bistro chef Nathan Gresham and La Mestiza kitchen manager Jack Jennings are competing Saturday against six other Louisiana chefs for the King of Louisiana Seafood title. Last year, chef Brian Landry of Galatoire’s took the title. Each chef will have one assistant, and have one hour to create their Louisiana seafood culinary masterpiece. Support your local chef at 1 p.m. at the Louisiana Superdome for the seafood cook-off as they square off against executive chefs from high places such as L’Auberge Du Lac in Lake Charles and Wolfe’s on Rampart in New Orleans. Winner competes in the Great American Seafood Cook-Off on July 18 at the Morial Convention Center.
