Pink Friday celebration honors Webbie’s mother

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Advocates can join the second-annual Pink Party with a Purpose Friday evening, which will honor the late Joycelyn Marie Gradney, mother of rapper Webbie. The celebration, hosted by radio personalities Missy & Sashika (formerly of Max 94.1 FM), starts with a 7 p.m. candlelight vigil on the Capitol steps, then moves on to the M-Bar on Third Street.
