Opening reception features newbie art

Artist Julie Buckner presents her first-time artist students’ work at the Wealth Planners Gallery inside the Campus Federal Credit Union, 6230 Perkins Rd. The exhibit, titled Abstracts 2009, hangs through Sept. 18. Pieces start at $150 and go up to $1,500. Free wine and food from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
