Once in a blue moon
Country music star Earl Thomas Conley hits the stage at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino Friday. This legend of the genre made his name in the ’80s with hits like “Dreamin’s All I Do” and “Holdin’ Her and Lovin’ You,” which netted him multiple Grammy nominations. He’s back in the recording studio only recently, but this writer of “thinking-man’s country” has still got the spark. Tickets are $20 for the public. Doors open at 8 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m.
