On the road: The third annual New Orleans Daiquiri Festival

The daiquiri is a drink that has been perfected and served time and time again in New Orleans. To celebrate and preserve the area’s “go-cup culture,” Old New Orleans Rum and Defend the Daiquiri will host its third annual Daiquiri Festival at 527 Elysian Fields Avenue (Map it!). The event kicks off at noon this Saturday and includes live performances from Sissy Nobby, The Stooges Brass Band and more, as well as soul food, barbecue and craft daiquiris. Tickets are $5 in advance and can be purchased here, or $8 at the door. For more information, click here.
