On the road: Red Dress Run in NOLA

Grab your fanciest red dress and matching koozie and prepare to run. The 19th annual New Orleans Red Dress Run kicks off Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Armstrong Park and benefits more than 50 New Orleans charities. Online registration is closed, but runners can register outside the event on Saturday at 9 a.m. As usual, entry to the event means endless beer, a catered meal from Corky’s, giveaways and musical guests (this year it’s Cowboy Mouth and Dash Rip Rock).
