OMC explores Picasso, Tennessee Williams

Dually inspired by the contemporary influences of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie and Pablo Picasso’s Girl Before a Mirror, Of Moving Colors dance company presents Looking Glass at Manship Theatre. This never-before-seen contemporary piece entails dance, text, music and visual art, and guests will have the unique experience of viewing the stage stripped bare for a refreshing, distinctly modern perspective. Choreographed by two of the rising stars in the New York modern dance scene — Ashleigh Leite and Gina Bashour — as well as new works by OMC’s own Garland Goodwin Wilson, Looking Glass has two performances: 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 to $35 and available at the Manship Theatre Box Office or by calling 338-0804.
