Oh, ‘Brother’

New on DVD this week, Paul Rudd goes from responsible sidekick to stoner star in Our Idiot Brother. As the quirkily honest and gullible Ned, Rudd gets busted for pot possession when he hands some over to a uniformed police officer. Soon his girlfriend breaks up with him, and he is temporarily homeless. Instead of finding a new apartment, Rudd rotates time crashing on the couches of his three much more responsible sisters, played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer, while crashing their already fragile lives at the same time. Rashida Jones and Adam Scott co-star. Rated R.
