From basement-dwelling DIY art-punks to Grammy nominees, L.A. duo No Age has been as underground as Gil Scott-Heron and as popular as New Yorker nods and the prismatic shirts that decorate their plentiful, scruffy-haired disciples. Now they are looking to break on through with new Sub Pop album Everything in Between. This record’s blow-out melodies and exploratory structures have mellowed a tad, meaning fans are calling them something No Age hasn’t been dubbed as of yet—mature.

Go inside this Baton Rouge favorite that Hauntworld magazine named one of the best haunted attractions in the country from a safer distance by watching a video tour and interview with owner and monster designer Dwayne Sanburn. The 13th Gate is located on St. Phillip Street near downtown and is scaring visitors now through Halloween.
