Oblivion (in theaters Friday)

After a war almost destroys the planet Earth, one veteran has been assigned to extract signs of life and resources. Tom Cruise stars in the new science fiction action film, Oblivion, from director Joseph Kosinski (the man behind the special effects bonanza Tron: Legacy). Baton Rougeans will want to check out the film as some of it was filmed right down the road at Celtic Media Centre. Judging from the previews, the effects are gorgeous, and this could signal another hit for Cruise. Morgan Freeman and Melissa Leo co-star. Rated PG-13. Watch the trailer below:
