Not too late to sign up for summer camps

Did your summer plans change suddenly? Did you not plan ahead of time what to do with the kids this summer? No biggie. Plenty of places are still accepting registration for unique summer camps, such as:

BREC’s Astronomy Camp at the Highland Road Observatory. There are about 10 slots open for each all-day camp, June 23-27 for ages 11-13; June 30 to July 4 for high-schoolers; July 7-18 for ages 8-10; July 21-25 for ages 6-7. Call 768-9948.

Baker Little Theatre Summer Kids Camp. For ages 7 to 11, there are more than a dozen slots open for July 7-18 and July 21 to Aug. 1. Call 774-5953.

Baton Rouge Soccer Summer Camp. Slots are still available for the all-day camp July 7-11, Half days available. Call 924-2157.

BRIS Foreign Language Camp. Several weeklong camps are available June 23 to July 18, for ages 2-10 to learn French, Spanish or Chinese. Registration booked solid for ages 11-13. Call 293-4338.

Of Moving Colors Dance Camp. Plenty of spots still available for ages 7-11, the week of July 21-25. Call 338-0804.

The Colonial Era History Camp. Many openings left for ages 7 to 14. All-day camps are July 14-25. Call 343-4955.
