Northgate Tavern celebrates five years

The Chimes Street bar, partially responsible for the city’s original music scene, celebrates its fifth anniversary all this week. Performing Saturday night are local bands Barisal Guns, the Last Chaleron and Here Is Why, plus plenty of freestyle jams. The music venue opens earlier than usual for the rock ’n’ roll mayhem. Grab a Storyville tee, wolf down an Inga’s sub and make it a night of nostalgia on the city’s most radical street.
