Nino’s offers new menu items
Nino’s, a local Italian restaurant on Bluebonnet Boulevard, has made big changes to its lunch and dinner menus. Chef/owner Elton Hyndman says the new dishes rely on locally sourced proteins and produce. The restaurant has also started making its own sausage in house.
The dinner menu features a new take on the restaurant’s gnocchi appetizer as well as a Bruschetta starter with goat cheese, basil pesto and roasted pepperonata. Two of the four salad choices are new, including a grilled romaine option marinated in balsamic vinaigrette and finished with Gorgonzola, homemade pancetta and cherry tomatoes. The spinach salad features baby spinach tossed in goat cheese balsamic vinaigrette with roasted root vegetables and more.
On the pasta side, Hyndman has added duck egg carbonara with homemade guanciale, Pecorino Romano cheese, peas and cherry tomatoes tossed in spaghetti as well as prosciutto and pea sweet cream tossed with tri-colored garganelli pasta.
