Nick and Norah press play on Friday
Modern, movie-going brains are somehow wired to need a fix of Michael Cera’s hilarious and helpless puppy dog comedy every six months, and following Superbad and Juno, here comes Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. When Cera’s Nick asks Kat Dennings’ Norah to be his fake girlfriend for a few minutes just to make his ex jealous, the pair ends up on a wild trip through New York City’s Generation Y underground. Part Before Sunrise and part Garden State, this fluffy romantic comedy should score with guys who joined bands just to get a girlfriend and or girls who thought Superbad would have been better without all the F-bombs. Jay Baruchel and Aaron Yoo co-star. Rated PG-13.
