New restaurant brings Aussie edge

-

A dingo got ya baby? Not quite. Dingo’s, a new restaurant with Australian flair, opened two weeks ago in the old Semolina building on Coursey. Owner Patrick Muller, a native of the West Coast of Australia, created casual dishes accessorized with mango salsa, wasabi ranch sauce, fig spread. The No. 1 menu seller: fish tacos. “The grilled fish is a huge hit,” Muller says. “When guests come in, they have something healthy.” Prices range from $5 to $13. The bar also has a dozen wine and beers unique to Australia. Inside, the décor has authentic Aboriginal artwork, stained glass windows from an old New England church and plenty of eye candy. Dingo’s is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday until midnight.
