New downtown eatery worth the try

-

Have you tried Miller’s Contemporary Creole Cuisine on Third Street in the old Café Asia-turned-New York Bagel? The décor may be bland, but certainly not the food. From the sweet potato molasses pecan strudel to the spinach and strawberry salad, the variety of the menu is enough to keep you curious about returning to sample more items. Prices range from $2.95 (for small soups) to $13.95 (for rib-eyes). (Pictured left: Miller’s spinach and strawberry salad is tossed with soft blue cheese, candied pecans, red onions and warm brown sugar balsamic vinaigrette, $7.95.)
