New Another Broken Egg location planned for Perkins Road

Another Broken Egg, a breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant that started as The Broken Egg Café in Mandeville, will open its second Baton Rouge location by mid-April. The new location will open in the former Podnuh’s and Battery World at 9655 Perkins Rd.

The restaurant will have room for around 180 patrons, regional manager Mary Deas says, and will feature the same menu as well as space for the restaurant’s developing catering service.

The first Baton Rouge location opened in December 2011, and Deas says business has been successful. This second restaurant will target developments along Bluebonnet Boulevard and Highland Road.

“We thought to put one on the other side of town to give the people of Baton Rouge another option,” she says. “We want to draw business from those developing areas who may not be able to come to our Corporate Boulevard location all the time.”
