NanoDays at LASM

You and your kids can learn all about nanoscale science in technology during this nationwide festival at the Louisiana Art and Science Museum that celebrates ultra-small matter. Hands-on activities will help you investigate forces stronger than gravity; sand that doesn’t get wet, even in water; and the super-thin materials used in solar-cell technology. Scientists will be on hand to give slide presentations, and demonstrate the scanning, tunneling microscope, which measures the surface of objects at the atomic level. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. lasm.org
