My Obsession: Tegan Wendland, WRKF Morning Edition host

“The Vietnamese ‘strip’ on Florida Boulevard has some really great restaurants. Pho Quynh and Kien Gyang are my favorites. At Kien Gyang I usually get Bahn Mi and spring rolls. I love it because you never know how much liver is going to be on the Banh Mi or if it’s liver at all—plus they use really fresh cilantro and crispy pickled daikon. It’s a great fusion dish, and they know how to make it really well. Their pepper sauces are also really good and spicy. I love Vietnamese—it’s not something I was exposed to in Wisconsin. At Pho Quynh I either get pho or the vermicelli noodle dish, Bun Banh Hoi.”
