Erryca Robicheaux is a 28-year-old Lafayette native who’s made her home in Baton Rouge for more than a decade. She is co-owner of the newest Snap Fitness in Baton Rouge, located at 9828 Bluebonnet Blvd. She loves a good hamburger almost as much as she loves a good costume.

We opened in June of 2012, so about seven months.

I get bored easily, so I change up my routine pretty much every time. I love outdoor activity, so I try to bike or kayak or join a pickup game as often as I can. But if I am in the gym (which I am a lot!), I usually start out with a cardio warm-up, then hit the weights. Then it’s a little more cardio and some stretching. I really love to stretch! It’s so relaxing!

Have a plan and try to stick to it, but have a backup plan too, because life happens. If your plan was to work out on Tuesday after work, but you get invited to go to dinner, you don’t have to skip dinner. Your backup plan can be to wake up an hour or two earlier on Wednesday. Just make sure that Wednesday morning you’re up and ready to put in a good workout!

My motto when it comes to eating is, “Everything in moderation.” If I really want a burger, I get a burger, but I might substitute fresh veggies for the fries, and I’ll make a mental note to try to eat a little healthier for my next few meals. Or if I really want a burger and fries, then I might only eat half of the burger and some of the fries. A lot of us grew up with the “Eat everything on your plate” mentality, but it’s OK to leave food on your plate! Especially if it’s unhealthy food. Most of our portions are way larger than an actual serving size.

I really love seared tuna salads. They usually contain a lot of different kinds of leafy greens and fun fruits and veggies and nuts, so there are lots of vitamins and minerals in there for you. And the tuna itself is super healthy too. Just don’t load it down with a bunch of unhealthy salad dressing. The great thing about this healthy dish is that it is available at a ton of different restaurants in Baton Rouge. (Shout-out to Zeeland Street Market for making an especially tasty one. Too bad they’re not open for dinner.)

Find an activity that you enjoy! If you absolutely hate running, then don’t try to run a marathon. If you enjoy playing soccer, join a local soccer league. If you’re a people person, grab a buddy and go to the gym together and chat in between sets. If you are having fun, you are going to get a better workout and will feel more satisfied at the end, and you’re much more likely to keep it up!

Confidence! No matter what size or shape you are or what you’re wearing, if you think that you look great, chances are other people will too.

Since I’m in the gym every day, a large part of my wardrobe consists of Snap gear. I wear it to work and then I can work out in it when I get off. I don’t even have to change! And I know they look really weird, but I love my Vibram Fourfingers! Once I started barefoot running I could never go back to regular running shoes. But I usually wear regular sneakers to work and change into those for my workout only, since they sometimes freak people out.

When I go out I usually stick to simple clothes and then dress them up with lots of fun accessories. I am a huge fan of scarves, and I really like fun necklaces and bracelets. But no matter if I’m working out or going out, the earrings are always pearls.

Somewhere on, in or around water, with my puppies and people I love.

I love theme and costume parties, so I don’t feel like I can really answer this question. … There is probably nothing I wouldn’t wear to the right party.

Every now and then a girl just needs a little Burberry in her life.
