Music: Best Bets
Of course, the trio is most famous for the hit “Hold On,” but don’t discount Wilson Phillips’ other radio classics like “Release Me” and “Impulsive.” They’re equally infectious and sure to get a good reception when Wilson Phillips plays the Manship Theatre this month. Reuniting for a cameo in 2011’s Bridesmaids, Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips kept the momentum with a TVGuide Network reality show in 2012 (plotline for the season finale: Will the ladies get matching tattoos?). They also released Dedicated that year, applying their harmonies to a cover album of tracks by the Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas. The show is Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. manshiptheatre.org

IN NEW ORLEANS: Bryan Adams, who does everything for you, hits the Mahalia Jackson Theater Aug. 10. Icona Pop plays the House of Blues Aug. 20.
