Baton Rouge Gallery’s popular series that marries new music with a classic silent movie continues this weekend. This Saturday’s edition of Movies and Music on the Lawn will feature a never-before-heard score from New Orleans rock band The Breton Sound alongside the silent film The Black Pirate. The film will be shown on a towering inflatable screen behind BRG inside BREC’s City Park at 8 p.m. or sundown, whichever comes last. Tickets are $5, and that includes free bottomless popcorn.

Adam Dale. A free acoustic performance from the singer-songwriter at Tallulah inside the Renaissance Hotel. 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Matthew Schwartz, Peter Simon, Chris Johnson. An intimate show with three singer-songwriters at Mud and Water. $7. 9 p.m.
Turnpike Troubadours. Country with hints of folk and bluegrass at The Varsity Theatre. Tickets are $10 and are available through TicketWeb. Doors open at 8 p.m. Show starts at 9 p.m.
