Movies and Music on the Lawn
Silent film star Charlie Chaplin’s classic film The Kid comes to life on the big screen once more this Saturday at the Baton Rouge Gallery’s annual summer Movies and Music on the Lawn series. This year’s theme is Slapstickers, so you can look forward to a full run of hilarious physical comedy from the silent era. The Kid is one of Chaplain’s most famous films, a sweet dramedy about an abandoned child and the tramp who rescues him. The soundtrack will be provided by local band Righteous Buddha. Tickets are $5 for the public, free for gallery members. 8 p.m. batonrougegallery.org
