Movie Guy: Brad Froman

“There are so many terrific character actors in Steven Soderbergh’s Out of Sight, partially shot here in Louisiana. Don Cheadle as the heavy, Luiz Guzman’s clumsy thug. Albert Brooks as the naďve target. Ving Rhames playing George Clooney’s escape partner. Isaiah Washington as the bad-ass boxer who gets said ass handed to him within two seconds by Jennifer Lopez. But the greatest joy was every scene that Steve Zahn was in. He stole them all. Of course, they shine due to the talents of Elmore Leonard and Soderbergh. Even though this movie elevated George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez to “A-list” status, it was the supporting actors who gave the film its, well, character.”
