More Dinner in the Field details announced

Slow Food Baton Rouge will celebrate local food, farmers and more in its fourth annual Dinner in the Field event Sunday, April 6, at Afton Villa Gardens, 9047 Highway 61 in St. Francisville. The fundraising event will feature locally grown foods selected and prepared by Louisiana chefs.

Preparing dishes at the event are Elton and Randee Hyndman of Nino’s Italian Restaurant, Eric Arceneaux of City Club, Scott Varnedoe of Restaurant IPO, Don Bergeron of Chef Don Bergeron Enterprises, Jason Roland of Heirloom Cuisine, John Breaux, Kevin Dragon, and James and Lina Jacobs of Magpie Café.

The six-course dinner begins at 5 p.m. Tickets are $140 per person. Proceeds from the event will support Slow Food’s school pilot program Greauxing Healthy Baton Rouge.
