‘Moonrise’ out of me – Wes Anderson returns to live-action filmmaking

Distinctive director Wes Anderson returns to live-action filmmaking for the first time since 2007’s The Darjeeling Limited and almost three years since his popular animated Roald Dahl adventure Fantastic Mr. Fox, with the 1960s-set comedy Moonrise Kingdom. After two middle schoolers fall in love and run away to an uninhabited island, their small New England town is turned upside down in pursuit of the young couple. Among the various search parties is Scout Master Edward Norton and his pack of hapless Khaki Scouts, Bill Murray and Frances McDormand as concerned, though childish, parents, and Tilda Swinton as the stern dispatch from Social Services. Bob Balaban narrates, and Harvey Keitel, Jason Schwartzman and Bruce Willis co-star. Rated PG-13.
