Modern dance and zydeco team up for Racine D’or performance

Four-time Grammy nominee Cedric Watson and the LSU Dance Department are collaborating with Brooklyn’s Movement Workshop for an original modern dance program, Racine D’or. The show is inspired by the Deep South culture and folklore, incorporating 10 local dancers as well as Watson’s zydeco music. Racine D’or premieres Saturday night at the LSU Union Theater at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 and available online.
