Might as well Jump – Flick Pick
He’s more of a pirate these days, but Johnny Depp began his career as a policeman. As undercover agent Tom Hanson on FOX’s popular series 21 Jump Street, the iconic actor put his baby face and bountiful charm to good use playing a cop posing as a high-school student, sniffing out on-campus drug deals and musing on the ill effects of hate crimes, child abuse and teen promiscuity. On March 16, 21 Jump Street returns as an action comedy. This time, two half-wit young officers played by Jonah Hill (Superbad) and Channing Tatum (Haywire) are sentenced to the police academy’s equivalent of detention when they are assigned to undercover duty at a local high school. But their mission turns dangerous when they discover a synthetic drug ring—and the ensuing psychedelic effects—first hand. Dave Franco and Ellie Kemper co-star. Rated PG-13.
