Melvins melt the stage

Grunge rock innovators the Melvins will be at the Spanish Moon Saturday at a show you really don’t want to miss. Famed for their friendship with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, the power trio rocketed to stardom in the mid-’90s when the grunge movement they helped influence became the soundtrack for a generation of disaffected teens. Their current mix of metal and punk stump categorization, but if you’re looking for music you can thrash to, you won’t find better. Tickets are $17. 9 p.m.
