Meet Mestizo’s suburban twin, Mestiza

Jim Urdiales, owner of Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Restaurant on Acadian, is opening a sister eatery in Prairieville, across from Frank’s Smokehouse on Airline. La Mestiza Mexican Bistro—housed in the old K Michaels Steakhouse—will offer a scaled-down version of Mestizo’s menu, with the exception of some new items such as the ribeye.
