‘March’ on

George Clooney hit the campaign trail last fall in a bid for the White House with the political thriller The Ides of March. The film is available now on DVD. When hotshot media consultant Ryan Gosling joins the campaign team for an up-and-coming candidate he gets blindsided by the backstabbing and dirty politics played behind the scenes. Torn between doing the right thing and doing whatever it takes for his boss to win, Gosling must decide how best to keep afloat in the fast-paced, cutthroat world of big money politics. Adding to the fray are opposing but equally ruthless campaign managers played by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti. Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei co-star. Rated R.
