March of the ‘Penguins’

There are a lot of things one can inherit that will inevitably enrich one’s life either emotionally, culturally or financially, but penguins probably are not among them. As no-nonsense, family-ignoring business executive, Jim Carrey faces the question of what to do with six curious and energetic penguins in a Manhattan apartment this Friday with his new comedy Mr. Popper’s Penguins. As he turns his home into an Antarctica-worthy penguin playground, Carrey finds his professional life put on ice. Can he win his family back, save his reputation and the lives of his new tuxedoed friends? Carla Gugino, Philip Baker Hall and Jeffrey Tambor co-star. Rated PG.
