Manship Theatre announces 2013-2014 schedule – Dr. John, Aimee Mann and Rick Springfield among those coming to BR

Manship Theatre has announced its 2013-2014 schedule, and it’s littered with big musical acts as well as a few theatre performances.

Dr. John will kick off the fall, performing live Sunday, September 8 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $100 for the show only, and $150 for the show and a pre-performance reception at 6 p.m. You can buy them at manshiptheatre.org. The New Orleans born singer-songwriter is still on a victory lap after last year’s incredible album, Locked Down, which was produced by Dan Auerbach, the guitarist/singer of The Black Keys, and won a 2013 Grammy for Best Blues Album. The upcoming season will also include performances from Leon Redbone, Aimee Mann and Ted Leo, Eric Burdon and The Animals, Nellie McKay and Turtle Island Quartet, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin, Marc Broussard, and Rick Springfield.

This year’s theatre performances will include Alice in Wonderland, Fahrenheit 451, Stuart Little, and many more.
