Making Mother’s Day special

Mother’s Day is Sunday, and treating your mother to a delightful brunch or dinner is one of those lovely traditional ways to thank your mom with a meal she didn’t have to prepare. Several local restaurants are offering ways to make that day extra-special for everyone. Juban’s holds their annual Mother’s Day Brunch, with extremely delicious food but limited seating. Ruffino’s will open their doors early on Sunday at 11:30 so the whole family can score some of their tasty upscale Italian with Creole flair. The Melting Pot is offering a special $24.95 three-course meal for the day, featuring teriyaki and their signature cheese fondue. Texas de Brazil will open early as well, with decadent desserts and Brazilian mimosas. And, of course, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra holds their annual Mother’s Day Brunch, with a toothsome spread and the sweet sounds of a string quartet. Visit brso.org for more information.
