Lyceum Dean hosts Obama acceptance speech party
National media have weaved his name in interrogatory headlines with such words as the “messiah,” and plenty of young people seem to have a political crush on him. Thursday evening, the world will tune in to watch democratic nominee for president Barack Obama accept the nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Supporters in Baton Rouge can watch on the big screen Obama’s historic speech at Lyceum Dean, 124 Third St. downtown. Doors open at 7 p.m. Suggested donation of $35 for adults; $15 for students. To RSVP, e-mail Karen at [email protected].
