Louisiana’s Idol

After looking like a pro, and finishing third, on American Idol, Westlake native Joshua Ledet hit the road with the American Idol Live! tour, which wraps this month.

225 caught up with Ledet as the tour made its way to Lafayette’s Cajundome for a sold-out homecoming.

“[The tour’s been] exhausting, but once you get on stage, your adrenaline starts rushing immediately and you get excited,” Ledet says.

Ledet’s pretty mum about what’s next after the tour, echoing sentiments he told Yahoo! Music in May that he’s interested in recording “music that speaks a message.”

He’s also perfected his talking points with the press. “I’m just focusing on the tour right now,” he says. “Everyone [from the cast] wants to just take their time and focus on this experience and learn from it. I’ll focus on all that after the tour is over.” @joshledet
