Lost Bayou Ramblers bring the tunes to Baton Rouge
The Cajun-rock band Lost Bayou Ramblers are performing a few shows in Louisiana before returning to the studio for a follow-up to its last album, the critically-acclaimed Mammoth Waltz. Among those shows is a performance at Mud and Water Friday night. The Littlest Birds will open. Tickets are $8. Rock for a Wish. Chi Omega presents this rock concert at The Varsity. Sugarbear and the Monkey Tangs, Deacon Jones and Knew Identity will perform. Proceeds go toward the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Tickets are $5. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Hazy Ray. The New Orleans rock band performs at Chelsea’s Café. 10:30 p.m.

Michael Foster Project. The jazz and funk band performs at Chelsea’s Café. 10 p.m.
Molly Ringwalds. The cover band performs at Walk-Ons after the LSU football game. 10 p.m.
Thou, Barghest, Samothrace, Christworm. Hard rock and heavy metal bands perform at Here Today Gone Tomorrow Thrift (Map it!). Lagniappe Records will also be there with a sample of its store selection. The show is all ages. Cover is $6. 8 p.m.
Big K.R.I.T., Corner Boy P. A night of hip hop at The Varsity next Tuesday. Tickets are $23 online. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Beethoven Festival. The finale of LSU School of Music’s concert series featuring Beethoven’s symphonies takes place Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (Map it!). Admission is pay as you can at the door. For more information, click here.
