Based on British writer Toby Young’s memoir of his five-year attempt to make it in New York City as a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is an honest, self-deprecating look at success and failure, and what it all means in the end. Simon Pegg plays loveable losers better than almost anyone, and stepping into Young’s life as a geek among the glitterati, he plays an outsider who despite his flawed instincts finds himself rising in a world of celebrity he doesn’t understand and isn’t even sure he wants.
