When did you leave Baton Rouge?

I left in September 2007 to pursue my singing and songwriting career. Since Nashville is the home of country music, I thought it was the best place to start.

What do you miss about the city?

I miss authentic Cajun food, Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium and my wonderful family and friends.

What don’t you miss about it?

The humid weather and the traffic.

What does your new city have that you wish Baton Rouge had?

Nashville is an amazing city filled with incredible talent. I couldn’t imagine a better place to create and be inspired by music. There is still that southern hospitality and charm that exists in Louisiana. But naturally, what I love most about this city is its live music scene.

What’s essential when you come back to visit?

Spending time with family and friends, a visit to the Chimes and an LSU football game!

When were you in town last?

I was last in Louisiana to sing the national anthem for an NHRA national race at my dad’s racetrack, No Problem Raceway.
