Locals eyeing title of Crawfish King this weekend

As crawfish season peaks, it’s all come down to one event this Friday as 50 corporate teams compete for the title of Crawfish King in the backstage area of Live After Five. On Friday, gates to the competition open at 4 p.m., allowing Baton Rougeans to taste the competitors’ crawfish. The event benefits the Big Buddy Program and Junior Achievement of Baton Rouge. $20 all-you-can-eat tickets and $10 kids tickets are available. Awards will be announced around 6:40 p.m. from the Live After Five stage. Get more information on the cook-off.
