Local food trucks get national attention

Eat St., the new show for the Cooking Channel that features food trucks across the nation, is making a stop in Baton Rouge this week to turn its cameras on the Red Stick’s homegrown mobile eats. Three trucks will get their turn in the limelight, starting today. Curbside, which specializes in delicious burgers with locally sourced ingredients, kicks things off, filming at 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Spanish Town Road in front of the Capitol. Tomorrow, those filming turn their attention to GOyaya’s, with a rotating selection of internationally inspired crepes—same place, same time. Finally, on Saturday, Taco De Paco’s tasty wraps will be spotlighted around noon at the NeuroMedical Center at Perkins Rowe. The public is encouraged to attend, so head out and get a bite to eat—and your 15 minutes of fame—this week!
