Live After Five starts today

You know the drill. You bail out of that cubicle at 4:55 on Friday afternoon and make a beeline for North Boulevard. There, ice cold beer, spicy food and dancing throngs await.

Live After Five kicks off the fall season this month with the popular weekly, free outdoor concerts.

Concerts are 5 p.m. 8 p.m. at Galvez Plaza, located directly east of the Old State Capitol on North Boulevard. No pets or ice chests are allowed.

Sept. 26 – Larry Garner (blues, soul)

Oct. 3 – Real Time with Ernest Scott (soul, funk, classic rock)

Oct. 10 – Bench Bar Boogie Band (party mix)

Oct. 17 – Travis Matte & the Kingpins (zydeco, rock)

Oct. 24 – Papa Grows Funk (New Orleans jam, funk)

Oct. 31 – TK, GG, Steve Adams and Smoke (swamp pop)

Nov. 7 – Stormy (dance, rock and R&B)
