‘Lincoln’ logging

The story goes that MC Hammer launched his career by selling cassette tapes out of the trunk, and in the recen legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer, in stores this week, Matthew McConaughey tries pulling the same trick by conducting business in his black Lincoln town car. Based on the popular novel by Michael Connelly, things shift gears when McConaughey takes on the case of a wealthy Los Angelino accused of abusing a high-priced call girl. As the mystery at the center of the trial deepens, the wealthy defendant played by Ryan Phillippe turns out to be more than McConaughey bargained for. The large ensemble cast includes Bryan Cranston, John Leguizamo, Josh Lucas, William H. Macy and Marisa Tomei. Rated R.
