LASM after dark
-
The fascinating culture of the Edo period and the ukiyo-e prints on view in the current exhibition, The Floating World, will be featured in a tour led by Jill Chancey, former curator of the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art, who organized the exhibition, this Thursday night. She will discuss how these prints originally created as advertisements for the pleasure district’s theaters, restaurants, teahouses, and geisha became collectibles and how they became part of the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art collection. Enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres with admission. Admission is free for members and $7 for non-members. lasm.org
